Drews Parts Ignores Deadlines

Drews Parts ignoring deadlines with no consequences!
Despite being ordered to remove salvage operations at 705 E School Street, Drews Parts continues to receive more equipment for junk and salvage. Drews Parts documented these activities on their own Facebook page. It’s almost like Drews knows Wes Likens, Tom Shepherd, Rob Steele, Jerry Alexander, John Richwine, and Darlene Likens will not do a thing.
The BZA denied Drews Parts special use permit to operate a junk/salvage yard. After this occurred the Planning Department issued a violation letter dated July 28, 2023 giving Drews Parts 30-days to bring the parcel into compliance. If Drews Parts did not meet the deadline they would face a $100.00 fine. That’s right if you operate an illegal salvage yard in Madison County you’re not shutdown you just face a $100.00 fine. After 60-days that fine will grow to a whopping $500.00! After 90-days they might take action. KEEP IN MIND THIS ILLEGAL SALVAGE YARD HAS BEEN OPERATING FOR OVER 900-DAYS. Over 900-days since they received their violation letter and we’re just now getting to a $100.00 fine.
